Quran; Great Miracle of Holy Prophet
Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) miracle is one whose amazing features can be observed and appreciated even today. The Quran has 114 Surahs, 6236 verses and some 78,000 words. In various parts of the Quran, God has challenged those opposing the Holy Book to get together and bring a book like the Quran.
“Say: ‘If mankind and jinn combined together to produce the like of this Koran, they would never be able to produce one like it, not even if they were to help one another.’” (Surah Al-Isra, Verse 88)
Also in verse 13 of Surah Hud, God says: “Do they, (the unbelievers), say that (Muhammad) has falsely ascribed (the Quran) to God? Ask them, ‘Compose ten chapters like (those of the Quran) and call on whomever you can for help besides God if you are true in your claim.”
There is also verse 38 of Surah Yunus, “Do they say that Muhammad has invented it? (Muhammad), tell them, ‘If your claim is true, compose only one chapter like it and call on anyone besides God for help,’” and verse 34 of Surah At-Tur: “Let them produce a phrase like it, if what they say is true!”
In these verses, God has called on unbelievers to bring Surahs, verses or even a phrase like the Quran if they are true in their claim.
God challenges them by saying:
1-“(Cannot) bring the equivalent of this Quran,”: Verse 88 of Surah Al-Isra
2-“If all human beings and jinn were to come together,”: Verse 88 of Surah Al-Isra
3- “Even if they all were to help each other,”: Verse 88 of Surah Al-Isra
4- “If your claim is true,”: Verse 38 of Surah Yunus
5- “Call on anyone besides God for help,”: Verse 38 of Surah Yunus
